I recently had the pleasure of chatting with a group of kids who had just seen Star Wars, some of them for the first time. They asked me questions I had trouble answering, because I had never thought about things from certain angles. These kids were sharp, and they knew their stuff. A great student is the product of a terrific teacher, and you’re about to get to know that teacher now. Craig Dickinson is a smart, smart man who’s producing smart, smart students through his love of English and Star Wars. Episode 28 – Harry Perales

Episode 27 – Chris Cape

We’ve heard a lot of great stories about how Star Wars has influenced people’s lives from an entertainment and community perspective, but today we have something a bit different: Chris Cape’s love of the Galaxy Far, Far Away has served as inspiration for his own art. Chris is a songwriter/performer who created the song “Mark Hamill Can Handle” in honor of May the 4th and shared it with the world. You may recognize the song as the theme song for Comics with Kenobi, and if you haven’t heard it yet, you’re in for a treat. Chris’s love of Star Wars runs deep, and his unabashed affection for the saga has woven its way through his life and work. Hear his story now!

Episode 26 – Ryder Waldron, DDS

Ryder Waldon, DDS. No, it’s not a new dental crime mystery series (although it SHOULD be), it’s the official title of one of the busiest men in the galaxy. Ryder is a dentist (of course), podcaster, DOUBLE blogger (for Coffee With Kenobi and The Cantina Cast), Star Wars fanatic, and all-around good guy. He wears many hats, and wears them all well. Jeff sat down with Ryder to discuss his Star Wars fandom, and how he is passing his passion for the saga on to not only the next generation, but the previous generation as well! (That’s quite a feat, folks!) As an added bonus, we discuss which characters in the saga have the best teeth, and which have the worst.

Memories of Marvin

In case you hadn’t heard, MarvinDog Media had to say “see you soon” to their mascot this week.
